Learn About Scott Fly Fishing School And Our Instructors

fly fishing is our life - Lake with man fishing

As full time guides and instructors based in Devon and Cornwall, we are aware of the need to be able to teach you the very latest in fly fishing techniques. This is why every member of the team holds the highest and hardest to attain AAPGAI casting qualification (Association of Advanced Professional Game Angling Instructors).

We never stop learning in the world of fly fishing and there is always something we can show you to tempt that big old brown that lives under a tree,in a back eddy and has seen 100's of flies drag by. We'll show you the cast to make and hold our breath as we watch him come up and take the fly. Rest assured we will be right there cheering you on!

Recommendations: Client Testimonials

Pete is Professional, Patient and Passionate (about teaching). A great Pleasure, and an education, to fish with.

It started 15months ago with some lessons as a present. Thanks to Pete it is now an obsession!

He was professional and patient (undoing my knots) in early casting lessons on a stocked rainbow lake. Later teaching me rivercraft and the joys of small wild brownies. Then sharing his favourite, magical locations- helping me observe and enjoy them as well as the fishing. He’s passionate about his own fishing and joyous about his pupils success- a good cast or big fish. (As I compare my performance with others on the lakes, I now recognize the huge benefit of being well taught rather than shown by a friend and) even now a day out with Pete is a great pleasure as well as an education.

Pete, thanks for a new and unexpected joy in life.

As most of us had hardly touched a rod before, Mark...

... was a great laugh and explained everything really simply. He made us aware that just fly casting is an art in itself. The Scott Fly Fishing School is definitely recommended for a good experience and introduction to the world of fly fishing.

Pete, Thank you so much for today.

Both Kirsty and Ryan got a hec of a lot out of it -- And so did I

Please convey our thanks to Mark as well.

I'm sure you must be on cloud nine after the Hammers victory this AFO.
